About us:

Parsley Health is a digital health company with a mission to transform the health of everyone, everywhere with the world's best possible medicine. Today, Parsley Health is the nation's largest health care company helping people suffering from chronic conditions find relief with root cause resolution medicine. Our work is inspired by our members’ journeys and our actions are focused on impact and results.

The opportunity:

Parsley Health is hiring a VP of Clinical and Business Operations to focus on the company’s  most important business priorities and drive them forward. The VP will ensure the smooth operations of the organization, including establishing company-wide OKRs, KPIs, and cross-functional projects that result in achieving growth, member experience, client experience and margin targets. This role will work closely with all teams across our company, including Enterprise Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, Finance, and People to create strategies and systems that enhance productivity and company performance. The role requires someone who is equally excited about building a strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute the required change. The role also requires solid experience in healthcare settings, including running clinical operations. This role reports directly to our CEO.

The primary goal of the VP of Clinical and Business Operations is to plan, execute, oversee and drive smooth, well-informed internal operations, including owning the OKR process, cross team communication, and company-wide accountability and ownership. Also included is a data-focused approach to delivering operational insights and payer data insights, partnering with the data team to develop actionable and key take-aways that help the business grow.

This role sits on the Executive team as it will ensure the company’s important strategic and operational pieces are executed with high fidelity and that stakeholders across the executive team and the broader company are communicated to and held accountable to deliverables.

Other specific ownership areas include convening and steering the broader leadership group, driving cross-company business operations, and identifying and directing new projects for the company. As a part of our matrixed environment, the person in this role will serve as connective tissue and identify company needs.

What you’ll do:

  • Goal setting: Lead the company’s quarterly and annual planning cycles to set OKRs and KPIs; effectively communicate direction for the company; partner with Exec to develop and enhance other company systems and guidelines for better communication, alignment, and empowerment
  • Business Intelligence: Own the business intelligence roadmap and, in partnership with the data team, own dashboards, and ensure the company’s weekly dashboards are up-to-date, that new analyses are completed and resulting insights are shared; lead the effort to inform decision-making, that decisions are made and documented, and that Exec and Leadership are aligned and taking accountability for their role in executing the work
  • Clinical Operations and Member Experience: Partner with Medical Director, Member Experience team, Growth team, product manager, and Clinical leadership to enhance and operationalize a refined and highly-efficient care delivery model that results in positive health outcomes, strong member retention and margin targets. Define SOPs and SLA’s, project manage the rollout of SOPs, ensure timely progress on projects; monitor projects by running analysis, reporting on results, sharing insights and developing action plans for necessary updates
  • Client success: Partner with Client Success to ensure we are meeting client, member, and margin expectations; conduct risk review of all product lines (GI, autoimmune, cardio-metabolic, hormone, mental health)
  • OpEx: Own non-headcount operational burn metric in partnership with Finance and org to operationalize an efficient streamlined G&A spend

What you’ll need:

  • At least 10 years of work experience in a mixture of consulting, operations, and strategic roles; startup experience is key
  • At least 8 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare capacity
  • Successful track record driving change and outcomes cross-functionally through both influential leadership and data-driven insights
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel and Looker proficiency is preferred)
  • Exceptional structured thinking and organization skills for yourself, and broader team process building skills that balance effort with return
  • Bias for action and sense of urgency - you will help the company’s executive team make choices and move faster
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity

Nice-to-haves:

  • Scale-up healthtech experience
  • Experience managing OKRs across a business with various streams of revenue (i.e., DTC, B2B)
  • Experience steering a team to operationalize and realize business outcomes

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Equity Stake
  • 401(k) + Employer Matching program
  • Remote-first with the option to work from one of our centers in NYC or LA
  • Complimentary Parsley Health Complete Care membership
  • Subsidized Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plan options
  • Generous 4+ weeks of paid time off
  • Annual professional development stipend

Parsley Health is committed to providing an equitable, fair and transparent compensation program for all employees.

The starting salary for this role is between $187,000 - $250,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with candidates during the process.

At Parsley Health we believe in celebrating everything that makes us human and are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We embrace diversity and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better we can serve our members.

Important note:

In light of recent increase in hiring scams, if you're selected to move onto the next phase of our hiring process, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will reach out to you directly from an @parsleyhealth.com email address to guide you through our interview process.

    Please note:

  • We will never communicate with you via Microsoft Teams
  • We will never ask for your bank account information at any point during the recruitment process, nor will we send you a check (electronic or physical) to purchase home office equipment

We look forward to connecting!
