Software Engineer Lead - Digital Post Trade Technology at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (Glasgow, UK)

The Digital Post-Trade Technology team is looking for a software engineering lead in Glasgow responsible for delivering high quality digital solutions to be used by internal JPMorgan Operations as well as the firm's clients to service a variety of their post-trade needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a team in the location covering all aspects of software engineering - UI development, back-end service development, and test engineering, and will also require to work closely with colleagues around the globe from technology, product, UX and operations. Candidates will require deep expertise and knowledge of full stack Java, messaging frameworks (Apache Kafka preferred), big data technology, CI/CD development practices, and the ability to implement those across the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
* Lead a software engineering team responsible for building digital solutions for post-trade servicing
* Design, develop and maintain technology assets that are used both internally within the firm as well as externally by clients
* Partner with the firm's UX designers to deliver high fidelity, easy-to-use UI solutions
* Attract and hire great talent into the team
* Champion best practices, tools and processes for a data-driven, quality-focused release as frequently as possible to our customers
* Innovate and contribute ideas to continuously improve our systems and drive actionable feedback on code and product quality
* Responsible for improving the stability of the production platform while sustaining high velocity of changes

Qualifications
* A BS/MS degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
* Relevant people management experience
* Expertise in professional software engineering practices and industry best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
* Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
* Proficiency in Java & React
* Experience in test automation in Continuous Integration setup.
* Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
* Document detailed application specifications; translate technical requirements into programmed application modules; and, develop and enhance software application modules. Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues.
* Excellent organization and communication skills and be able to present Technical Solutioning to senior leadership
