You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
* Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
* Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
* Passionate about building an innovative culture
* 7+ years of professional experience as Software Engineer, Applications Developer, Data Engineer or similar experience

Responsibilities:
* Engage in ETL design discussions and ETL architecture discussions using AbInitio, Spark, Talend or any other equivalent batch processing platform for large scale analytics.
* Develop technical specification documents and generic/reusable frameworks.
* Design and code batch data integration using a variety of platforms and tools from open source to proprietary like AbInitio or internal DPL.
* Design and develop ETL real time data integration flows using Kafka, Spark and Cassandra.
* Familiarity with cloud native applications - 12 factors and DevOps practices.
* Perform code reviews and mentor junior staff.
* Participate in design reviews / code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
* Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues and review and provide feedback to the final user.
* Help develop code migration strategies from one environment to the other.
* Assume ownership and accountability for the assigned deliverables through all phases of the development lifecycle. Develop and document strategies / standards to support the ETL framework and infrastructure.
* Ensure that risk / controls, security, and data management policies are followed.
