DevOps Engineer

DesiredSoft is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for our software development and deployment processes. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps principles, processes, and tools, particularly with Azure DevOps products. The ideal candidate will have 2-10+ years of experience in DevOps engineering and possess a deep knowledge of Azure Cloud, application operation monitoring, change management, and deployment automation.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and tools necessary for efficient software development and deployment processes.

Collaborate with development teams to establish and optimize DevOps processes and procedures.

Utilize Azure DevOps products, including work item tracking, Wiki, Git repositories, pipelines, and release manager, to streamline software development workflows.

Implement application operation monitoring solutions, such as App Dynamics and Splunk, to ensure the high availability and performance of applications.

Manage change management processes, utilizing tools like ServiceNow, to ensure smooth and controlled deployments.

Deploy and manage applications in Azure Cloud, leveraging PaaS resources and implementing best practices.

Develop and maintain automation pipelines for build and deployment processes, treating applications as code.

Package and manage NuGet and NPM dependencies, ensuring reliable and efficient dependency management.

Implement and maintain containerization solutions, such as Docker, and utilize repository managers for efficient container management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues.

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.

Requirements:

3-8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.

Strong understanding of DevOps principles, processes, and procedures.

Extensive experience with Azure DevOps products, including work item tracking, Wiki, Git repositories, pipelines, and release manager.

Proficient in application operation monitoring tools, such as App Dynamics and Splunk.

Familiarity with change management processes and tools like ServiceNow.

Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and the ability to deploy and manage applications using PaaS resources.

Solid understanding of build and deployment automation, treating applications as code.

Knowledge of NuGet and NPM packaging for efficient dependency management.

Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and repository managers.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and operational issues.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for staying updated with industry trends and advancements in DevOps and cloud technologies.
