About the role 

As the Data and Solutions Architect, you will define vision, strategy and drive the Data Platform roadmap as well as guide Fortune 500 clients through the Digital Transformation of their Supply Chain strategy development and implementation.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead critical data architecture decisions across the whole Craft Data Platform
  • Lead the vision and design of architectural roadmaps and data technology architectures
  • Work closely with Craft data engineers to deliver the strategy through clear leadership/direction
  • Provide expertise on the overall data engineering best practices, standards, architectural approaches and complex technical resolutions
  • Strategize and lead delivery of complex client engagements by designing Craft Platform-centered solutions:
    • Understand client goals and objectives
    • Assess their current state and identify gaps
    • Develop high-priority use cases
    • Build community
    • Drive adoption of the Craft solution
    • Support Account Executives and CSMs in setting client expectations

  • Build and deploy Craft platform installations in the client’s cloud; integrate them with client data, authentication and application operations, including defining and executing deployment procedures.
  • Understand client relationships and business objectives, their Digital Transformation Strategy and help them make data-driven decisions
  • Engage in pre-sale activities to influence the engagement scope to align with client needs and optimize Craft’s ROI

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a Data Architect or Solution Architect role in Data/Analytics-related businesses with various infrastructure technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with the following technologies: RDBMS, NoSQL, distributed and streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis), ETL tools, data modeling for transactional and reporting focuses, BI (Tableau or similar) and Data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience building data-intensive applications in AWS (AWS Solutions Architect certification is a plus)
  • Experience owning customer relations end-to-end, driving customers through data transformation, building roadmaps, and driving stakeholder alignment.
  • Executive presentation skills - a high degree of comfort with large/small and internal/external audiences.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases.
  • Ability to define, identify and resolve problems with varying complexity. Strong mathematical/analytical skills.
  • Prior experience at high-growth, venture-backed startups.
  • A high-energy and action-oriented individual with a passion for moving quickly.
