About: Fletch is a U.S. based technology firm building an open insurance ecosystem
connecting consumer apps to insurance providers. The team has previously built global
payment infrastructure at scale (processing $billions in transactions) and founded enterprise
technology companies with solutions in commercial use by over 100 corporates.
Fletch has seen rapid traction (existing partnerships with leading U.S. insurance providers)
and is backed by top global fintech VCs and angels. The team is now looking to scale
further hiring & expansion.
Experience: 2 to 5 years overall & experience in reputed product startup is absolutely mandatory.
Desired Skills:
- Strong experience with back-end / RESTful / gRPC API development (Python, FastAPI)
- Strong experience with building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, AWS CICD tools)
- Good in AWS cloud environments and services (EKS, ECR, EC2, S3, CloudWatch)
- Good with SQL or NoSQL databases (at least one of the following: PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, ArangoDB, Neo4J)
- Should have been involved in designing, building, launching, and maintaining API first solutions.
- Experience using identity and access management (IAM) solutions for user authentication and authorization
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or with team
Responsibilities:
- Own and complete development tasks during sprints
- Collaborate with team members to ideate engineering approaches and solutions, research and scope options, and present and assess trade-offs to inform decisions
- Build back-end components and RESTful APIs using Python, NodeJS, AWS services, and a variety of databases (Relational, NoSQL)
- Configure and maintain repeatable infrastructure-as-code (using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
- Configure and maintain AWS CICD tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeArtifact) to deploy code
- Manage and implement multiple AWS services
- Pursue proof of concepts to validate ideas
- Produce and maintain technical architecture diagrams and documentation
- Perform peer code reviews and mentor other team members
- Proactively communicate status updates
