Who you are
- Great Communicator - Crucial in this role is that you communicate clearly and are confident about what you say & write.
- Leader and a Coach - In this senior role, you must be an inspiring leader for more junior employees, someone who makes them grow.
- Start with the User in mind - You're used to do design-driven, UX-first. In fact, you can tell us why we should use Design Thinking.
- Been there, done that - You have designed large applications and are familiar with the requirements of an extreme scale, multi-tenant, multi-lingual SaaS system.
- Fly High - You have hands-on experience with PaaS & Serverless and can teach others why to use managed services & Serverless Compute.
- Thorough knowledge of Lean Principles and Agile Methodologies such as Scrum.
Your opportunity
At Rodeo, you will be working in an environment with lots a changing parts, moving our application landscape to be ever more scalable and modular. We are moving towards loosely coupled microservices and microfrontends, and have an ambitious roadmap as an international Project Management vendor.
As a Tech Lead, you will pave the way to embracing Native Cloud architectural patterns and use SaaS best practices.
What you will be doing
- Revolutionizing the world of Project Management by developing Features that make a difference to our customers and their business.
- Assist and coach other team members in the adoption modern Cloud Architecture patterns and prevent anti-patterns.
- Raising the bar with clean & efficient code. Your code sets an example in terms of Coding Guidelines, readability and efficiency.
- Provide a Helicopter View. Continuously oversee and supervise the work of the development team, including (constructive) criticism.
- Balancing Technical Debt. You're aware of the fact that Technical Debt is a fact of life but you can tell us about finding the right balance between actively fighting it and delivering.
- Innovate (carefully) - You have an urge to be at the forefront of technological trends, but are sceptical by nature and need to be convinced of stability and added value. You can weigh added value versus risk and scope creep and like to be challenged on your decisions.
