You'll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you'll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world. As a member of the Application Platform team, you will be responsible for the design infrastructure development testing integration operation and support of the Buildpack offering. You will be part of an agile development feature team reporting into the Buildpack product owner. The Buildpack feature team is responsible for adhering to firm-wide architectural design standards risk management security policies and data management policies. The candidate will assist the feature team with setting strategic technology directions development best practices and will also conduct peer code reviews. The candidate will support all elements of the Software Development Lifecycle and participate in the development of integration elements data models and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Responsibilities shall include:
Design, Develop, and Operate solutions for a cloud computing platform encompassing private and public clouds, at scale
Bake in attributes of security, auditability and observability into the platform
Define and build value-add services on the platform using cloud-native principles
Create technical design for development and integration of new software and system technologies
Participate in software and system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning and demand forecasting
Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via developing tools and automation
Adopting cutting-edge technologies and creating best-of-breed solutions by researching and evaluating alternate solutions
Help evangelize and adopt cloud to an eco-system of developers in the technical community

Qualifications
* Hands on application programmer with strong Java core programming, Spring/Spring Boot,
* In-depth knowledge of Java REST based micro service development
* Databases: SQL/Stored Procedures, NOSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Aurora DB, MySQL, ElasticCache, Redis
* Queues: SQS, RabbitMQ
* Linux: Experience with scripting and working in a Linux environment
* Nice to Have: Angular JS
* Advanced knowledge of application, Design models, DDD, and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Especially OOP & SOA principles.
* Operational experience building queued workloads in a high throughput and highly parallelized compute environment. Processing 2000 cpu intensive jobs in 5 minutes.
