As a Software Engineer - Developer of Configuration Assessment team, this is a multi-functional software engineering role, directly supporting our customers by managing solutions within Configuration Assessment. You will be a Subject Matter Expert across JPMC security configuration implementation and cybersecurity tools integration and automation, and change the way environments are secured, monitored, and evaluated.

Responsibilities:

* Closely work with stakeholders, customers, platform owners, product owners, engineering managers, engineering leads and software engineers to understand the business requirements.
* Build automation for current services within Configuration Assessment.
* Evaluate tools and integrate database platforms into Configuration Assessment Program.
* Architect, design and develop Publishing Service to integrate the solution with FARM.
* Work as part of the team to ensure appropriate business measures are defined and documented.
* Review and influence new and evolving design, architecture, standard, and methods for operating services and systems.
* Participate in business requirements analysis, architecture and design of solutions, evaluation of tools service capacity planning and demand forecasting.
* Accountable for documenting and maintaining team guidelines for development standards based on industry best practices and firm wide standards and guidelines.
* Drive efficiencies by supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) .
* Own, plan and drive development project initiatives and deliverables.
* Responsible to coach and mentor Junior Software Engineers in the team, and provide code review as needed.
* Evaluate service level issues and suggested enhancements escalated by support to diagnose and address underlying system problems and inefficiencies, and engage third party suppliers on support issues as required.

Required Skills and Experiences:

* BS/BA degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* 3+ years of IT and software development experience.
* Experience as a member of a modern development team: Agile Development Framework, DevOps, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
* Solid hands-on development skills and experience building software and applications:
+ Java, Python, Typescript, HTML & CSS, AngularJS, Java Spring Boot
+ Scripting (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Bash)
+ SQL Server or Oracle
+ T-SQL or SQL Plus, PL/SQL
+ AutoSys or Control-M
+ Kerberos authentication
+ Windows Servers
* Solid understanding of Full Stack Development frameworks, REST APIs, Microservices, Database connectivity, etc.
* Experience working with web components (preferred but not required experience in Typescript, HTTP(S), SSH, Angular, Bootstrap, and Java Spring Boot).
* Highly effective problem solver with strong root cause analysis skills and troubleshooting skills.
* Highly motivated team player with strong coaching/mentoring skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in large teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
* Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals.
* Experience working with geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams.
* Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, deliver under pressure, organize and prioritize work.
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure , excellent work ethic.

Desired Skills and Experiences

* Knowledge of solution architecture, solutions design, data architecture, data modeling, infrastructure architecture.
* Linux Servers (e.g., Red Hat).
* Cloud technologies (e.g., Containers (Docker), Kubernetes).
* .NET, Big Data, Kafka.
* Experience in automation of third-party toolsets.
* Understanding of enterprise-grade Cybersecurity tools, such as Control Compliance Suite, Qualys, Tenable/Nessus, etc.
* Working understanding of Cybersecurity concepts like policy compliance, penetration testing, vulnerability detection, and risk reporting.
