Software Development Engineer in Test I

We are looking for smart and motivated engineers to join our Quality Engineering Team. The candidate must have programming experience in at least one of the following languages: Java, Javascript, Python, C, or C++. Selected candidates will go through an extensive training program and on successfully completing the requirements of the program will be offered the role of a Software Development Engineer in Test I.

Role and Responsibilities

• Learn and build a good understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle.
• Familiar with at least one programming language Python or NodeJS.
• Good understanding of Session Based Testing, Exploratory Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Generating scenarios and thinking through the edge cases.
• Responsible for uncovering things that everyone else misses.
• Responsible for defining acceptance criteria.
• Learn to perform test automation and set up Test Automation Suites on multiple application platforms like Web, Mobile, APIs, etc.
• Creating & managing bug reports and communicating with the team.

Required Skills

• Understanding of top 10 OWASP Vulnerabilities 2022.
• Understanding of SANS Top 25 Security Vulnerabilities.
• Well-versed with CI/CD Pipelines.
• Exposure to No-Code Test Automation Tools or Selenium and Appium-based testing frameworks.
• Having good knowledge of browser and API Performance Testing.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with Cross-Browser Testing.
• In-depth knowledge and work experience with Native mobile application testing.
• Familiar with Postman and Swagger.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Releases, and Version Control systems.
• Ability to write the acceptance criteria in Gherkin syntax.
• Having knowledge of the K6 Performance Testing tool will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in using JIRA.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: BE(IT or CS) or MCA/MTech.
• Strong object-oriented design and coding skills ( C++/ Java/Python).
• Problem-solving capability, excellent communication, and documentation skills.
• 0-2 years of software development experience developing high-quality, large-scale consumer applications.
