In SOK Digital Development we develop digital channels and services to be used by the end-customers. We found this unit in 2018 to pilot whether we could and should develop digital services ourselves instead of buying black box solutions from vendors. It went quite well, as we have grown from four engineers to a middle-sized company within S Group with almost one hundred IT professionals. We have five different business verticals: grocery eCom, home and family supplies, hotels and restaurants, banking services and ABC service stations and fuel/electricity selling. We work in cross-functional and agile teams working towards shared goals.
S-mobiili is the crown jewel of S Group’s mobile application. More than 1.5M users have downloaded and logged in to the application, which makes it the most used mobile application of S Group. It’s not only popular when it comes to the number of users, it’s also versatile and multi-functional. With S-mobiili our customer-owners can take care of their daily banking services and make the most of their co-op membership by checking their bonus accrual, see and store their receipts from previous purchases, and get their own targeted discounts and vouchers.
Senior iOS Engineer, S-mobiili (two positions)
We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to develop the features and functions of S-mobiili. Current iOS development is done with Swift, but there are also some parts written in RXSwift. We appreciate versatile professionals, so if you have ambition and interest to also do fullstack development alongside iOS development - be our guest! As we are dealing with our customer-owners' financial resources and there are seven-digit-number of users, the team is paying extra attention to reliability and the quality of the application.
And speaking about the team: there are 30+ professionals from the fields of coding, design, QA, DevOps and business making it all to work together. We are sharing the end-to-end responsibility starting from misty ideas to release and operations. We are truly an international and diverse group of people, who follow agile ways of working and share the product goals when developing and operating the application.
What we hope from you
Solid experience and know-how from mobile development in an iOS environment
Strong knowledge of Swift
Vision on architectural matters so that you can recognize dependencies, for example
In work-related matters you communicate fluently in English
We also value insight on mobile accessibility and RXSwift, but those are not requirements as we also appreciate your willingness and ability to learn!
