Job Brief

Prime Trust is seeking an experienced & highly skilled Crypto Security Architect to lead the architecture, design and implementation of cryptocurrency transaction signing and key management for our next generation custodial wallet which is an enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading, and servicing various types of digital assets.

You have extensive work and/or research experience in Cryptography, Secure Multi party computing, Zero Knowledge proofs / Rollups, and intersection of Blockchain and AI technologies.

You have deep knowledge of programming languages & development platforms used for crypto wallet development.

You keep abreast of emerging threats and attack methods, emerging protection and monitoring technologies as well as emerging regulatory and compliance requirements. Be an expert in industry trends, development, security, and technology.

You will be working closely with colleagues on the platform architecture team, product managers, business stake holders, engineers and engineering managers.

You will be able to explain complex architectural concepts & designs to both technical and non-technical audiences and drive consensus.

You should be comfortable working with fully remote teams (as you’ll work with many folks in time zones different from your own), and also excited about fostering an inclusive environment. Experience and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of validated experience as a technical lead with cryptography, blockchain technology, and a strong foundation in digital assets custody management
  • 5+ years of proven experience working with Cryptographic Security, MPC/SMPC (secure multi-party computation), key management, HSMs (Hardware security modules), key generation, applied cryptography, crypto systems, cryptocurrency forensics & wallet recovery services
  • Strong hands-on experience with cryptography algorithms and their application in blockchain and crypto key security such as Shamir Secret Share, ECDSA, RSA, AES
  • Proven understanding on FIPS 140-2 hardware security module
  • Knowledgeable about emerging technologies and new protocols in cryptocurrency and blockchain such as taproot, Proof-of-stake, threshold signature, multi-sig, HD wallet, multi-party-computation, zero knowledge proof
  • Ability to understand business vision and strategy as you define a platform architecture that is implementable in a practical manner with minimal risk
  • Deep knowledge of APIs, microservices, databases, security, performance & scalability
  • Passionate about architecting & designing solutions that can serve as the basis for long term growth & evolution of applications built on this platform
  • Ability to translate business requirements into an architecture vision supported by appropriate documentation
  • Strong presentation skills both verbal and written communication
  • Desire and ability to be a mentor to colleagues and other members of the organization

Job Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize & drive the architectural vision for our crypto wallet platform to support continued aggressive growth of our business
  • Drive high-level analysis and decision making for platform architecture and associated applications
  • Communicate platform architecture vision & strategy to a variety of stakeholders
  • Work to define and adhere to our internal coding standards, development & testing processes
  • Drive best practices for quality, performance, security, scalability, observability & resilience of the platform
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members to help elevate their skills and engineering team’s technical competency level as a whole

Education

Bachelor's, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
